PROTECT YOUR PEACE BUG REPELLANT

I’ve always been one of those people who seems to attract every mosquito in the area. As much as I love being outdoors, grounding and walking through nature, the bites made it hard to fully enjoy those peaceful moments. Here in Florida, when the humidity rises, so do the bugs. I created this spray to quite literally protect my peace while spending time outside, and I’m excited to share it with others who know that same struggle.

This all natural bug repellent is crafted from locally wildcrafted herbs and plant extracts to create a safe, effective, and skin nourishing shield against pests without the use of harsh chemicals or synthetic fragrances.

INGREDIENTS:

Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana)

The leaves of Beautyberry contain natural compounds with antibacterial, antifungal, and pest deterring properties. Callicarpenal and intermedeol, the plant’s active components, have been shown to repel mosquitoes, ticks, fire ants, and deer flies, often outperforming DEET in studies. Beautyberry grows abundantly here in Florida, where I personally wild harvest the leaves on my nature walks.

Elderberry (Sambucus nigra)

Wildcrafted right here in Florida, elderberry leaves are another powerful natural repellent, effectively deterring aphids, beetles, caterpillars, and flies.

Neem (Azadirachta indica)

Neem leaves are rich in azadirachtin, a compound that disrupts insect feeding and growth. Their strong natural aroma helps repel mosquitoes and other pests. Neem is not only beneficial for the skin but can also be used on plants as a natural pest deterrent.

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus)

Lemongrass oil contains citral and geraniol, two natural compounds that effectively repel mosquitoes, flies, and ticks while giving this blend its refreshing, clean scent.

Peppermint (Mentha piperita)

Peppermint essential oil adds a cooling touch and fresh aroma, helping deter mosquitoes, ants, and spiders for up to three hours after application.

Alcohol & Glycerine

The plant material is extracted into alcohol to draw out its beneficial compounds. Glycerin is then added to the solution to help maintain skin moisture and prevent dryness, creating a balanced formula that feels light, clean, and hydrating.

Directions: SHAKE BEFORE USE. SPRAY ON SKIN AS NEEDED.

CAUTION: Because whole plant material is used in the extraction process, some natural chlorophyll carries through. This gives the spray a slight green tint that may temporarily stain light fabrics, but it washes out easily.
